The neighborhood is adjacent to the 800 acre Williamson County Regional Park where residents gain access to a large complex of hike & bike trails and soccer fields. 

 

Two school districts split the subdivision. Georgetown ISD and Leander ISD. Both are highly rated and well respeceted districts. 

 

 

Leander has been identified as one of the fastest growing cities in Williamson County with a relatively strong real estate market and will typically attract young professionals and families. Leander is pursuing a transit oriented development approach.

 

Georgetown is known for its charming, historic downtown area and is the county seat of Williamson County. It was recently named as one of the best places to retire. Del Webb’s Sun City currently is expanding the retirement community from 4,500 homes to 7,000 homes and several “green” development projects are underway.

 

 

Whitetail Estates is known throughout the region for its beautiful homesites and abundant wildlife.

 The average home is 2700 SF and sits on 3.6 acres. Many of the home owners have horses or horse facilities on their property or other livestock giving the area a serene, country feel. The neighborhood is well established and the homes vary in age from the late seventies to those recently built. The average home is 15 years old. 

 The neighborhood is outside any city limits so most of the homes have private wells and septic systems.

  Due to the convienient location and the larger lots, the homes in Whitetail are generally quite desirable. Historically one would normally expect to see only one or two homes on the market at any given time. Recently the economic climate has contributed to increased inventory in the area however most of the homes have sold or are under contract. Homeowners wishing to sell should be more conscious of the price and condition of their property and the impact these will have on the marketability of their home.
